Daniel P. Vrakas
Daniel P. Vrakas (born October 31, 1955) is an American businessman and Republican politician from Waukesha, Wisconsin. He served 12 years in the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 33rd district from 1993 to 2005. He subsequently served ten years as Waukesha County executive. Personal life Born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Vrakas graduated from Waukesha High School (now Waukesha South) in 1974 and from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point in 1979. He was a restaurant owner. Vrakas lives in Waukesha County's Lake Country area. Political career From 1991 to 2005, Vrakas served in the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 33rd Assembly District. In the Assembly, he was the Republican Caucus Chairman. County Executive
A county executive, county manager or county mayor is the head of the executive branch of government in a United States county. The executive may be an elected or an appointed position. When elected, the executive typically functions either as a voting member of the elected county government, or may have veto power similar to other elected executives such as a governor, president or mayor. University Of Wisconsin–Stevens Point
The University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point (UW–Stevens Point or UWSP) is a public university in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Established in 1894, it is part of the University of Wisconsin System. UW-Stevens Point grants associate, baccalaureate, and master's degrees, as well as doctoral degrees in audiology, educational sustainability, and physical therapy. In 2018, UW-Stevens Point merged with UW-Stevens Point at Wausau and UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield. The main campus includes the Schmeeckle Reserve on the north side of the Campus. There are 15 academic buildings, and 13 Residence Halls. UW-Stevens Point is organized into four colleges with more than 120 undergraduate programs in 48 majors and 78 minors and 17 graduate programs.
