Daniel Núñez Aguiar (born 12 September 1958 in Santiago de Cuba) is a Cuban weightlifter. He won a gold medal in the ''bantamweight class'' at the 1979 Pan American Games in San Juan and at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. Olympic weightlifting, or Olympic-style weightlifting (officially named Weightlifting), is a sport in which athletes compete in lifting a barbell loaded with weight plates from the ground to overhead, with each athlete trying to successfully lift the heaviest weights.
