Daniel C
The Wake are a British post-punk, synth-pop and later indie pop band, formed in Glasgow in 1981 by Gerard "Caesar" McInulty (formerly of Altered Images), Steven Allen (drums) and Joe Donnelly (bass), the latter replaced by Bobby Gillespie. Steven's sister Carolyn Allen also joined on keyboards, and remained in the band thereafter. Gillespie left the band in 1983, replaced by Martin Cunning and then by Alexander 'Mac' Macpherson. History The Wake released their first single on their own Scan 45 label, coupling together "On Our Honeymoon" and "Give Up". This single eventually caught the attention of New Order (band), New Order manager Rob Gretton, who helped the band sign to Factory Records in 1982 and record an LP (''Harmony (The Wake album), Harmony'') at Strawberry Studios in Stockport. Jonathan May
Jonathan May (October 9, 1958 – February 27, 2010) was an American cellist and conductor (music), conductor. He resided in the Orlando, Florida area and was noted for founding and directing numerous youth orchestras and music programs throughout the region. Early life One of seven children, May was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Walter and Eleanor May, each an accomplished musician and teacher. At the age of four, the family moved to Fairport, New York where Jonathan would learn to play the cello at a young age. He was a student of Lynn Richmond and played in the Rochester Youth Symphony. When Jonathan was in high school, the family moved, to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Dan May (1898–1982) was a Nashville, Tennessee business, educational and civic leader. Biography An alumnus and long-time member of the board of trustees of Vanderbilt University, May was an active member and trustee of many civic and educational organizations in the Nashville area. May is one of the historic Nashville figures whose likenesses were created by artist Red Grooms for the Tennessee Foxtrot Carousel in Nashville. Daniel William May (aka Pete Wicks) (born 19 November 1988) is an English footballer who plays for Christchurch. He plays mostly as a right back. Career May came through Northampton Town's youth system and agreed a professional contract in April 2007. He made his first team début on 21 April 2007 in a 1–0 win over Chesterfield. He made two more appearances at the end of the 2006–07 season. He made three subsequent appearances in the 2007–08 season, the last against Leeds United on 5 January 2008.
