Daniel Kiernan
Daniel Kiernan (born 27 March 1980) is a British former professional tennis player. Biography Kiernan, who is originally from the town of Consett near Newcastle, played collegiate tennis in the United States for Louisiana State University. Mostly a doubles player, Kiernan began on the Challenger circuit in 2003 and went on to finish runner-up in four doubles finals during his career. Kiernan made main draw appearances in ATP Tour tournaments in 2004 at Queen's Club and Nottingham, both with David Sherwood, partnering with the same player to make his Wimbledon debut that year. In 2005 he reached his best doubles ranking of 150 and made the second round of Wimbledon, when he and James Auckland teamed up to win their first round match over Kevin Kim and Lee Hyung-taik, from two-sets down. Consett
Consett is a town in County Durham, England, about south-west of Newcastle upon Tyne. It had a population of 27,394 in 2001 and an estimate of 25,812 in 2019. History Consett sits high on the edge of the Pennines. Its' name originates in the Old English ''Cunecsheafod'' ("Cunec's headland"), first recorded in the 13th century. In 1841, it was a village community of only 145, but it was about to become a boom town: below the ground were coking coal and blackband iron ore, and nearby was limestone. These three ingredients were needed for blast furnaces to produce iron and steel. The town is perched on the steep eastern bank of the River Derwent and owes its origins to industrial development arising from lead mining in the area, together with the development of the steel industry in the Derwent Valley, which is said to have been initiated by immigrant German cutlers and sword-makers from Solingen, who settled in the village of Shotley Bridge during the 17th century. Jonathan Marray
Jonathan Marray (born 10 March 1981) is a former British tennis player and a Wimbledon Men's Doubles champion. Marray is a former top 20 doubles player, reaching a career high of world no. 15 in January 2013, mainly due to more regular appearances on the ATP World Tour, following his victory at Wimbledon 2012. He has also competed on the singles tour, reaching world no. 215 in April 2005, but was unable to continue his singles career, in part due to injuries. Marray first came to prominence at the 2004 Queen's Club Championship where he reached the third round. Marray has since played predominantly on the ATP Challenger Tour, where he has reached one singles final and won multiple doubles competitions.
