Daniel Kibret
Daniel Kibret ( am, ዳንኤል ክብረት) is a well known deacon and preacher in the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Being one of founders of Mahibere Kidusan (a spiritual association in The EOTC) his sermons, in depth writings and powerful oratorical speeches both within and outside the church has attracted millions of Ethiopians domestically and around the world. Having writing 35 books in his 30+ plus years service, Deacon Daniel Kibret was given the honorary title ‘Muhaze Tibebat’ which is an ancient Ethiopic (Ge’eze) language means flowing of wisdom. When the unexpected political dynamic changed in March of 2018, the new elected Prime Minister, Dr Abiy Ahmed selected him to be his advisor on social matters. Abiy Ahmed Ali ( om, Abiyi Ahmed Alii; am, አብይ አሕመድ ዐሊ; born 15 August 1976) is an Ethiopian politician who has been the 4th prime minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia since 2 April 2018. He won the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize for his work in ending the 20-year post-war territorial stalemate between Ethiopia and Eritrea. Abiy was the third chairman of the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) that governed Ethiopia for 28 years and the first Oromo in that position. Abiy is an elected member of the Ethiopian parliament, and was a member of the Oromo Democratic Party (ODP), one of the then four coalition parties of the EPRDF, until its rule ceased in 2019 and he formed his own party, the Prosperity Party. Sahle-Work Zewde (, born 21 February 1950) is an Ethiopian politician and diplomat who is the president of Ethiopia since 2018, being the first woman to hold the office. She was elected as president unanimously by members of the Federal Parliamentary Assembly on 25 October 2018.
