Daniel Jolliffe
Daniel Jolliffe (June 5, 1964 – October 30, 2021) was a Canadian media artist and art professor who created works of art, design and performance projects using technologies such as Global Positioning Systems (GPS). His interactive kinetic work and public art has been exhibited in the United States, Canada and abroad. Life and work Jolliffe received an MFA degree from Ohio State University and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Victoria. His interactive sculpture, ''One Free Minute'', was performed across America and the DIY version (instructions to 'Throw Your Voice', published in ''Make (magazine), Make'' magazine in 2005) was included in ''Design Life Now'', the National Design Triennial curated by Ellen Lupton and exhibited at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in 2006. Canyon Road, Santa Fe, New Mexico
Canyon Road is an art district in Santa Fe, New Mexico with over a hundred art galleries and studios exhibiting a wide range of art, including Native American art and antiquities, historical and contemporary Latino art, regional art, international folk art, and contemporary art. History Canyon Road is a long, narrow road that leads to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. It runs parallel to the Acequia Madre ("mother ditch"), an irrigation ditch dating back to 1680. Prior to Spanish arrival, the road was a footpath between the Santa Fe River Valley and Pecos Pueblo. Canyon Road was once a primarily residential neighborhood. Houses built in the Pueblo Revival style, in accordance with the local Spanish Colonial and Pueblo methods, were constructed with adobe walls and courtyards, often as compounds for extended family. La Biennale de Montréal (BNL MTL) is a bi-annual multidisciplinary arts event to confront the Quebec and Canadian art with those of foreign artists around common issues and concepts corresponding to ''"the timeliness of the art"''.
