Daniel Hendler
Daniel Hendler (born 3 January 1976) is a Uruguayan film, television, and theatre actor who works mainly in the cinema of Argentina, where he lives. He is known for his starring roles in films such as ''Bottom of the Sea'', ''Family Law'', ''The Paranoids'', '' Phase 7'' and award-winning '' Lost Embrace'' by director Daniel Burman, with whom he worked many times. Working on both sides of the Río de la Plata, Hendler achieved international recognition due to his awards as an actor. In 2004, he won the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the Berlin Film Festival for his performance in ''Lost Embrace''. He made his debut as screenwriter and director with the film '' Norberto's Deadline'' in 2010. Hendler is part of the generation of actors who revitalized the Uruguayan cinema with films like '' 25 Watts'', and is one of the regular actors of the so-called ''New Argentine Cinema''. Juan Pablo Rebella (born 1974, in Montevideo – died July 5, 2006) was an Uruguayan film director and screenwriter. Biography He attended the Catholic University of Uruguay where he studied social communication. In 2004 Rebella and Stoll released their second feature film ''Whisky'', at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival and opened to critical acclaim, winning the Regard Original Award. Pablo Stoll (born 1974) is a Uruguayan film director and screenwriter. He attended the Catholic University of Uruguay where he studied Social communication, it was here that he started to direct short films and his collaboration with fellow student Juan Pablo Rebella first began. After graduating in 1999 he and Rebella started work on their first feature film, '' 25 Watts'' (2001), it went on to win several international awards: Best Feature Film Award at the Rotterdam International Film Festival, Best 1st Feature Film Award at La Habana Film Festival, FIPRESCI Award and Best Male Actor Award at the Independent Film Festival Buenos Aires. Leo Maslíah (born 1954) is a Uruguayan musician, humorist and writer. Born in 1954 in Montevideo, he started writing and composing in 1978, usually with a touch of humour. After a considerable success in the Uruguayan ''underground'' movement, he successfully disembarked in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1982. He slowly gained popularity, had concerts in Chile, Peru, Cuba, Brazil, Paraguay and Spain among others. His music resists classification.
