Daniel Grant (politician)
Daniel Grant (26 September 1826 - ?) was an English printer and Liberal politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1880 to 1885. Grant was the son of Captain Daniel Grant of South Shields. He was educated at the Upper School of the Royal Hospital Greenwich. He founded the printing firm of Grant and Co of Turnmill Street, Clerkenwell and was principal partner for many years. He was a member of the Sylvan Debating Club. In 1868 and 1874 Grant stood unsuccessfully for parliament at Marylebone. At the 1880 general election he was elected one of two Members of parliament for Marylebone and held the seat until 1885. Following the Redistribution of Seats Act 1885 the old constituency of Marylebone was divided into a number of single-member constituencies. Danny Grant (ice Hockey)
Daniel Frederick Grant (February 21, 1946 – October 14, 2019) was a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger, who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for parts of fourteen seasons from 1966 to 1979, most notably for the Minnesota North Stars. In his career, Grant notched 263 goals and 535 points while playing for the Montreal Canadiens, Minnesota North Stars, Detroit Red Wings and the Los Angeles Kings, and played in three All-Star Games (1969, 1970, 1971). He married Linda Simpson in 1968. Playing career Grant was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. After a fine junior career with the Peterborough Petes and a season and a half in the minor leagues with the Houston Apollos, Grant made the NHL with the Montreal Canadiens in 1967–68, playing 22 regular season games and 10 playoff games. Danny Grant (footballer)
Daniel Grant (born 23 December 1999) is an Irish footballer who plays as a winger, for League of Ireland Premier Division club Bohemians. Club career Grant was named in the PFAI Team of the Year in 2020 and was also named PFAI Young Player of the Year On 19 December 2020, Grant signed a long-term contract with Huddersfield Town in the Championship. The deal ran until the summer of 2023, with the club having the option on a further year’s extension. In January 2021, shortly after arriving at the club, Grant tore his right hamstring and having worked his way back to fitness, almost immediately tore the hamstring in his other leg, keeping him out of action for the entirety of 2021. On 1 September 2022, Grant joined EFL League Two side Harrogate Town on a season-long loan deal.
