The Indian Super League (ISL) is an Indian professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Indian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), and their commercial partners Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), it is officially known as Hero Indian Super League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp. 2021–22 I-League
The 2021–22 I-League (also known as Hero I-League for sponsorship reasons) is the 15th season of I-League, last as the top tier of Indian football league system, since its establishment in 2007. All the matches are hosted in a bio-secure bubble in West Bengal due to COVID-19 pandemic in India. After the commencement of the first match-week of the league on 27 December, the tournament got suspended on 29 December for an uncertain period due to reports of numerous COVID-19 cases among the players and staff.
