Danny Flores
Daniel Flores (July 11, 1929 – September 19, 2006), also known by his stage name Chuck Rio, was an American rock and roll saxophonist. He is best remembered for his self-penned song "Tequila", which he recorded with The Champs, and which reached number one on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Biography Flores was born in Santa Paula, California and grew up in Long Beach. He was interested in the guitar from an early age, first performing at church and family gatherings. At 14, however, Flores switched to the saxophone, forming his first band, the 3-D Ranch Boys. Emulating the rasping sounds of tenor saxophonist Vido Musso, Flores played a variety of music genres - jazz, country, pop, and blues - to cater to his hard-going blue-collar clientele. Much to Flores's amusement, he has remarked, during this early stage of his career, he was commonly called the "Mexican Hillbilly". Dan Louie Flores (born October 19, 1948) is an American writer and historian who specializes in cultural and environmental studies of the American West. He held the A.B. Hammond Chair in Western History at the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana until he retired in May 2014. Background Dan Flores is a writer who lives in the Galisteo Valley outside Santa Fe, New Mexico, and is A. B. Hammond Professor Emeritus of Western History at the University of Montana-Missoula. Flores was born in Vivian in Caddo Parish in northwestern Louisiana and grew up in nearby Rodessa. Daniel Alejandro Flores Peréz (born 17 October 1981 in Cumaná, Sucre) is a Venezuelan windsurfer, who specialized in Neil Pryde RS:X class. He represented Venezuela at the 2012 Summer Olympics and has also been training for Cumaná Windsurf Club under his personal coach and mentor Juan Manuel Moreno. As of September 2013, Flores is ranked no. 31 in the world for the sailboard class by the International Sailing Federation. Flores made his official debut at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he finished sixth in the men's sailboard class with a net score of 52, narrowly missing out a spot for the medal race by a single point.
