Daniel Böltz
Daniel Böltz (born 17 July 1962) is an Australian/Swiss former long-distance runner who competed in the 1992 Summer Olympics. He was born in Switzerland, but lived in Australia. In 1988, Böltz won the Twin Cities Marathon in 2:14:10. Long-distance running, or endurance running, is a form of continuous running over distances of at least . Physiologically, it is largely aerobic in nature and requires stamina as well as mental strength. Within endurance running comes two different types of respiration. The more prominent side that runners experience more frequently is aerobic respiration. This occurs when oxygen is present, and the body is able to utilize oxygen to help generate energy and muscle activity. The Twin Cities Marathon (TCM) is an annual Marathon (sport), marathon in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area which normally takes place the first weekend in October.
