Dani Tull
Daniel Joel Tull (born 1966) is a contemporary American painter, sculptor and musician who lives and works in Los Angeles. Early life Tull was born in San Bernardino, California and attended Fairfax High School. In high school he met Michael Jagosz, Tracy Ulrich and Robert Gardner and they formed the band Pyrrhus and played together for two years. Tull left Pyrrhus to attend the San Francisco Art Institute. The remaining band members formed L.A. Guns with Danish bassist Ole Beich in 1983. Life and work Tull received a BFA from The San Francisco Art Institute and a MFA from Stanford University. Tull has exhibited in galleries and museums internationally with selected solo exhibitions including Blum & Poe (Los Angeles), Jack Hanley Gallery (San Francisco), The Pit (Los Angeles), Kim Light Gallery (Los Angeles), Fredericks & Freiser (New York), and Torch Gallery (Amsterdam). Brackets
A bracket is either of two tall fore- or back-facing punctuation marks commonly used to isolate a segment of text or data from its surroundings. Jim Shaw (artist)
Jim Shaw (born in 1952) is an American artist. His work is held in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Education Shaw received his B.F.A. from University of Michigan in 1974 and his M.F.A. from the California Institute of the Arts in 1978. Work Shaw invented O-ism, a pseudo-religion. In 2002, at the Swiss Institute in New York, he exhibited the fictitious studio and paintings of the imaginary O-ist painter "Adam O. Goodman" (or "Archie Gunn"). In 2000 he showed ''Thrift Store Paintings''—a collection of paintings by (mostly anonymous) American amateur artists—at the ICA in London. Los Angeles Free Music Society
The Los Angeles Free Music Society (LAFMS) is a loose underground collective of experimental avant-rock artist-musicians formed in 1973. Described as a "lightning rod for art-damage, weird-music lovers everywhere," LAFMS was formed by Chip Chapman, Joe Potts, Rick Potts and Tom Recchion. in addition to performing in various configurations, LAFMS produced records, organized concerts, and produced a magazine titled ''Light Bulb.'' Edward Joseph Ruscha IV (, ''roo-SHAY''; born December 16, 1937) is an American artist associated with the pop art movement. He has worked in the media of painting, printmaking, drawing, photography and film. He is also noted for creating several artist's books. His works is often associated with the Pop Art movement.
