Dani Drews
Danielle "Dani" Drews (; born February 2, 1999) is an American professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for the United States women's national volleyball team and Italian Series A1 professional team Cuneo. Personal life Drews is from Sandy, Utah and attended Brighton High School. She comes from an athletic family: her father, Paul Barton, played baseball and football at Utah from 1989-91. Her mother, Mikki Barton, played basketball and volleyball at Utah. Her brothers, Jackson and Cody, both play football in the NFL. Drews married former Utah football player Christian Drews in 2018. She is a Mormon. Career College Drews is left handed. She played indoor college volleyball for a total of five years, as she opted to use the extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sandy is a city in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, located in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States. The population of Sandy was 87,461 at the 2010 census, making it the sixth-largest city in Utah. The population is currently estimated to be about 96,380 according to the July 1, 2019 United States Census estimates. 2022 Athletes Unlimited Volleyball Season
The 2022 Athletes Unlimited Volleyball season was the Athletes Unlimited Volleyball's second season in existence. The season was played in Dallas, Texas and ran from March 16, 2022 to April 16, 2022. Bethania de la Cruz was the overall season winner - finishing with 4,652 points. 2022 Roster Scoring system Unlike traditional volleyball which is best-of-5 sets, matches in Athletes Unlimited always play three sets. A team does not necessarily have to win the majority or all of the sets as the winner is determined based on the final overall score. If the teams are tied after 3 sets, a tie breaking fourth set (referred to as the "Golden Set) is played. The Golden Set goes to 5 points and must win by two. The FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The first tournament took place between May and July 2018, with the final taking place in Nanjing, China. United States won the inaugural edition, defeating Turkey in the final. In July 2018, the FIVB announced that China would host the next three editions of the women's Volleyball Nations League Finals, from 2019–2021, but on March 13, 2020 the FIVB decided to postpone the Nations League until after the 2020 Summer Olympics due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
