Justin Danforth
Justin Danforth (born March 15, 1993) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who can also play as a winger. He currently plays for the Columbus Blue Jackets in the National Hockey League (NHL). He won the ECHL Rookie of the Year in 2018 with the Cincinnati Cyclones. Prior to turning professional, Danforth played four years at Sacred Heart University where he was honoured as AHA Rookie of the Year and selected for the AHA First All-Star Team, AHA Second All-Conference Team, and AHA All-Rookie Team. Internationally, he has represented Canada at the 2011 and 2012 World Junior A Challenge and at the 2021 IIHF World Championship, where he won gold. William Henry Danforth
William Henry Danforth II (April 10, 1926 – September 16, 2020) was a physician, professor of medicine, academic administrator, and philanthropist. He was chancellor of Washington University in St. Louis from 1971 until 1995. He was the grandson of Ralston-Purina founder and St. Louis businessman William H. Danforth, and the brother of former U.S. Senator John Danforth. Early life William Danforth was born and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Community School, St. Louis Country Day School, and Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, and then transferred to Princeton University, graduating in 1947. Thomas Danforth
Thomas Danforth (baptized November 20, 1623 – November 5, 1699) was a politician, magistrate, and landowner in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. A conservative Puritan, he served for many years as one of the colony's councilors and magistrates, generally leading opposition to attempts by the English kings to assert control over the colony. He accumulated land in the central part of the colony that eventually became a portion of Framingham, Massachusetts. His government roles included administration of territory in present-day Maine that was purchased by the colony. Danforth was a magistrate and leading figure in the colony at the time of the Salem witch trials, but did not sit on the Court of Oyer and Terminer. Despite this, he is inaccurately depicted in Arthur Miller's 1953 play ''The Crucible'' and its movie adaptations as doing so. Samuel Danforth (1626–1674) was a Puritan minister, preacher, poet, and astronomer, the second pastor of The First Church in Roxbury and an associate of the Rev. Loring Danforth
Loring M. Danforth (born 1949) is an American professor of anthropology and an author working at Bates College. His research has focused on the interpretation of a wide variety of symbolic or expressive forms in a range of cultures. Education and career Danforth received a B.A. from Amherst College in 1971 and a M.A. and Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1974 and 1978. He completed a doctoral dissertation titled "The anastenaria: a study in Greek ritual therapy." He has written many books and articles on Macedonia, Greece, Australia Saudi Arabia and nationalism. Harold Warren Danforth
Harold Warren Danforth (8 April 1916 – 7 May 1993) was a Progressive Conservative party member of the House of Commons of Canada. Born in Leamington, Ontario, he was a farmer by career. Danforth attended Ontario Agricultural College after which he farmed in the Blenheim area. He became a local councillor in Blenheim, Ontario between 1956 and 1958 and was then elected at the Kent riding in the 1958 federal election. Although he was defeated in the following federal election in 1962, he won the riding back in the 1963 election and was re-elected in 1965. In 1966, riding boundaries were changed and Danforth won at the new Kent—Essex riding in the 1968 federal election and again in the 1972 election. Danforth left federal politics when he was defeated in the 1974 election by Robert Daudlin of the Liberal party.
