911 (UK Band)
911 (pronounced "nine one one") are an English pop group consisting of Lee Brennan, Jimmy Constable and Simon "Spike" Dawbarn. They were formed in London in 1995 and released their debut single "Night to Remember" in May 1996. This was followed by their debut album ''The Journey'' in March 1997, which was certified Gold by the BPI in November 1997. 911 released two more Silver-certified albums, '' Moving On'' and '' There It Is'', in 1998 and 1999, respectively. ''There It Is'' also produced their only UK number-one single, a cover of "A Little Bit More", which topped the UK Singles Chart in January 1999. Airto Moreira
Airto Guimorvan Moreira (born August 5, 1941) is a Brazilian jazz drummer and percussionist. He is married to jazz singer Flora Purim, and their daughter Diana Moreira is also a singer. Coming to prominence in the late 1960s as a member of the Brazilian ensemble Quarteto Novo, he moved to the United States and worked in jazz fusion with Miles Davis and Return to Forever. Biography Airto Moreira was born in Itaiópolis, Brazil, into a family of folk healers, and raised in Curitiba and São Paulo. Showing an extraordinary talent for music at a young age, he became a professional musician at age 13, noticed first as a member of the samba jazz pioneers Sambalanço Trio and for his landmark recording with Hermeto Pascoal in Quarteto Novo in 1967. Vanilla were a British pop girl group from Barnet, London, England, formed in 1996. History The band members were sisters Frances and Alison Potter, Alida Swart and Sharon Selby. They released two singles for EMI in the late 1990s. The band's first single was "No Way, No Way", released in December 1997 and based on Piero Umiliani's "Mah Nà Mah Nà".
