Dance Suomi
''Dance Suomi'', or simply ''Dance'', is a Finnish televised dance competition with a format based on the American dance show ''So You Think You Can Dance''. As with other shows in the ''So You Think You Can Dance'' franchise, the competition places young dancers from a wide variety of stylistic backgrounds in competition, with a combination of judge decisions and at-home-viewer votes deciding who persists in the competition from week to week. The show is hosted by television personality Caro Axel Smith (credited as "Axl" Smith) and has a judge's panel formed by Marco Bjurström and Merja Satulehto, with a third rotating seat for guest judges. The first season's winner, awarded a cash prize and a dance school scholarship opportunity in New York, was Sam Vaherlehto. Caro Axel "Axl" Smith (born 10 March 1984) is a Finnish former television presenter and entertainer. He was a host for MTV Nordic since 2004, a UNICEF Good Will Ambassador from 2006 to 2016 and a recording artist since 2010. Marco Bjurström
Marco Robert Bjurström (born 31 May 1966 in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish dance instructor, director, choreographer, television host, and news anchor. He is best known as the host of the television game show ''BumtsiBum!'' (1997–2005), which was ultimately based on the Irish ''The Lyrics Board'' and watched weekly by more than a million people. Bjurström has hosted several ceremonies, such as the election gathering of President of Finland Tarja Halonen. Bjurström has also directed the Finnish versions of three musical stage productions for the Peacock Theatre at Linnanmäki – '' Grease'' (2002), ''Hair'' (2003), and ''Saturday Night Fever'' (2004).
