Dance, Dance, Dance (The Beach Boys Song)
"Dance, Dance, Dance" is a song by the American rock band the Beach Boys from their 1965 album '' Beach Boys Today!''. Written by Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, and Mike Love, it was first issued as a single in October 1964, backed with "The Warmth of the Sun". "Dance, Dance, Dance" marked Carl's first recognized writing contribution to a Beach Boys single, his contribution being the song's primary guitar riff and solo. Composition "Dance, Dance, Dance" was composed by Brian and Carl Wilson, while the lyrics were written by Brian and Mike Love. Although many pop songs raise their key at the start of a final chorus, "Dance, Dance, Dance" subverts this convention by modulating in the middle of the verse. '' Billboard'' described the song as having a "tremendous rock -surfin' beat and groovy lyrics," saying that the Beach Boys "have never sounded better." '' Cash Box'' described it as a "sensational hot-rod-surfin' ocker... that zips along with money-makin' glee." Variations T ...

Dance, Dance, Dance (Neil Young Song)
"Dance, Dance, Dance" is a song written by Neil Young that first appeared on Crazy Horse's debut album '' Crazy Horse'' in 1971. Young later released a live version of it himself and it has also been covered by other artists, including Dave Edmunds, The New Seekers, The Flying Burrito Brothers and Elvis Costello. Neil Young and Crazy Horse versions "Dance, Dance, Dance" was originally recorded by Young with Crazy Horse in 1969 for a country-rock album that was never released. Allmusic critic William Ruhlmann described the Crazy Horse version of "Dance, Dance, Dance" as a "country hoedown." '' Cash Box'' called it "country flavored." Young reused the melody to "Dance, Dance, Dance" for his song " Love Is a Rose" that was famously covered by Linda Ronstadt. Young biographer Paul Williams called "Dance, Dance, Dance" a "classic" and said it is much better than "Love Is a Rose." Young performed "Dance, Dance, Dance" live in concert from 1969 through 1971, and then in 1983, 198 ...

Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)
"Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)" is a song by American band Chic, released as their debut single. It was a hit in the United States, reaching number six on both the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. In addition, along with the tracks "You Can Get By" and " Everybody Dance", the single reached number one on the Dance Club Songs chart. Luther Vandross, who was working as a session vocalist at the time, provided backup vocals on this recording. The "yowsah, yowsah, yowsah" part of the title, which appears as a spoken interjection in the middle of the song, originated with the American jazz violinist and radio personality Ben Bernie, who popularized it in the 1920s. The phrase was revived in '' They Shoot Horses, Don't They?'', a 1969 film about a Depression-era dance marathon.
