''Danas'' (, Serbo-Croatian for "today") is a United Group-owned daily newspaper of record published in Belgrade, Serbia. It is a left-oriented media, promoting social-democracy and European Union integration. It is a vocal media supporter of Serbian NGO activities towards human rights and minorities protection. History The first issue of ''Danas'' appeared on 9 June 1997. It was established in 1997 after a group of discontented journalists from the ''Naša borba'' newspaper walked out after getting into a conflict with the paper's new private majority owner. Right from the start the paper employed a strong independent editorial policy with respect to Milošević's regime. Because of open reporting and uncensored coverage on issues and events plaguing Yugoslav and Serbian society in the late 1990s, the paper often found itself targeted by Serbian authorities. The ''Dictionary of American Naval Aviation Squadrons'' (''DANAS'') is a multivolume work published by Naval Historical Center of the U.S. Department of the Navy's Naval History & Heritage Command. It covers naval aviation in much the same way as the ''Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships'' (''DANFS'') covers commissioned vessels. Two volumes have been published to date: Volume 1, covering the history of attack and strike fighter squadrons, and Volume 2, covering the history of patrol squadrons. Other volumes are forthcoming. The squadron histories are quite detailed, typically including sections on lineage, insignia and nickname, chronology of significant events, home port assignments, commanding officers, aircraft assigned, major overseas deployments, airwing assignments, and unit awards received. Danas Andriulionis (born 25 November 1951 in Rokiškis) is a Lithuanian painter and a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Association. He studied in Pakruojis Pakruojis () is a city in Lithuania. Danas Pozniakas
Danas Pozniakas (19 October 1939 – 4 February 2005) was a Lithuanian amateur light-heavyweight boxer who won the European title in 1965, 1967 and 1969 and an Olympic gold medal in 1968. Pozniakas was born in Poland as Dan Pozniak, and in the 1950s moved to Vilnius, Lithuania, where he took up boxing at age 13. He won the Soviet title in 1962 and a European silver medal in 1963, but at the 1964 Olympic trials lost to Aleksei Kiselyov and was not selected. By the next Olympics, he was a double European champion and a clear favorite. He decisively won his first three bouts and received the Olympic gold by default, as his opponent Ion Monea had a broken nose from his previous fight and withdrew from the final. Monea lost to Pozniakas in the 1967 and 1969 European championships. Danas Rapšys (; born 21 May 1995) is a Lithuanian swimmer. He is a two-time Olympian, a multiple-time Lithuanian record holder in the men's backstroke, freestyle and butterfly, and a double swimming champion at the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei, Taiwan. Rapšys is also a member of Panevežys Žemyna Club, and is coached and trained by Ina Paipelienė. 2013 season In 2013 he became a European Junior champion.
