Dan Trant
Daniel Patrick Trant (May 15, 1961 – September 11, 2001) was an American basketball player and Cantor Fitzgerald bond trader killed in the September 11 attacks, September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks at the North Tower of World Trade Center (1973–2001), World Trade Center in New York City. He grew up in Westfield, Massachusetts, and graduated from Westfield High School (Massachusetts), Westfield High School. Trant was drafted in the 10th round and was the 228th and last pick in the 1984 NBA draft. He was part of the 1984–85 Boston Celtics season. Trant attended Clark University. The 1984–85 Boston Celtics season was the 39th season of the Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Celtics entered the season as the defending NBA Champions, coming off an NBA Finals victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in seven games, and increasing their NBA Finals victories over the Lakers to 8. On March 3, 1985, Kevin McHale surpassed Larry Bird's Celtics single game scoring record when he netted 56 points against the Detroit Pistons.
