Dan Stec
Daniel George Stec (born February 21, 1969) is an American politician serving as a member of the New York State Senate for the 45th district. He represents all of Clinton, Essex, Franklin, and Warren Counties, and parts of St. Lawrence County and Washington County. He previously represented the 114th district of the New York State Assembly. Early life and career Stec was born to George, a Vietnam War veteran and New York State Forest Ranger, and Elsie, a school secretary. He was raised in Queensbury, New York and graduated from Queensbury High School in 1987. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York. Career In 2011, Stec became the chairman of the Warren County Board of Supervisors. He was elected to the New York State Assembly in 2012, serving until 2020. New York's 45th State Senate District
New York's 45th State Senate district is one of 63 districts in the New York State Senate. It has been represented by Republican Dan Stec since 2021, succeeding fellow Republican Betty Little. Geography District 45 covers a large swath of northeastern New York's North County and Capital District, including all of Clinton, Essex, Franklin, and Warren Counties, and parts of St. Lawrence County and Washington County. The district, which contains Plattsburgh and Queensbury, reaches the northernmost point in the state. The New York State Assembly is the lower house of the New York State Legislature, with the New York State Senate being the upper house. There are 150 seats in the Assembly. WTEN (channel 10) is a television station licensed to Albany, New York, United States, serving the Capital District as an affiliate of ABC. Owned by Nexstar Media Group, it is a sister station to Fox affiliate WXXA-TV (channel 23, also licensed to Albany), which is operated under a shared services agreement (SSA) with Mission Broadcasting. Glens Falls is a city in Warren County, New York, United States and is the central city of the Glens Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 14,700 at the 2010 census. The name was given by Colonel Johannes Glen, the falls referring to a large waterfall in the Hudson River at the southern end of the city. Potsdam is a village located in the Town of Potsdam in St. Lawrence County, New York, United States. The population was 8,312 at the 2020 census.
