Dan Raviv
Dan Raviv (born 1954) is an American journalist. Career Raviv is the senior Washington correspondent for i24 News, headquartered in Tel Aviv and New York. Previously he was with CBS News as their national correspondent and was heard regularly on the CBS Radio Network. He had also done TV reports from Washington, D.C. on the ''CBS Evening News,'' and he narrated the 1997-98 revival of the CBS TV news shorts series for children ''In the News''. Up until January 21, 2017, Raviv was host of a weekly radio magazine show, the ''CBS News Weekend Roundup''. A New York City native and graduate of Harvard, Raviv joined CBS at its all-news radio station in Boston ( WEEI) in 1974, moving to WCBS Newsradio in New York in 1976, then to the network radio newsdesk in New York. i24NEWS is an English language international news television channel owned by Altice USA. It is the English version of i24NEWS. The network began broadcasting in the US on February 13, 2017. It is live from 6 to 10p.m. Eastern Time and at other times broadcasts from Israel. History Original English channel The original channel went live on 17 July 2013. Franck Melloul, the CEO, stated that it would battle prejudice and ignorance about Israel with “facts and diversity.” Arab Israeli journalist Lucy Aharish was the lead anchor of the original English-language branch of the channel from July 2013 until she resigned in January 2016. Toy Biz (also stylized as ToyBiz), was a toy company which later became a subsidiary of Marvel Entertainment and was renamed to Marvel Toys. It was best known for producing action figures and toys and holding the Marvel Comics license from 1990 to 2006. The company originated in Montreal, Quebec, as Charan Toys. In 1988, Charan Toys was renamed Toy Biz and became an American firm. In 1990, it obtained the master toy license for the Marvel Entertainment#Marvel Entertainment Group, Marvel Entertainment Group, and by 1993 became partially owned by Marvel. Carl Celian Icahn (; born February 16, 1936) is an American financier. He is the founder and controlling shareholder of Icahn Enterprises, a public company and diversified conglomerate holding company based in Sunny Isles Beach.
