Dan Murray (English Footballer)
Dan Murray (born 16 May 1982) is an English retired footballer who is most known for his time at Cork City. Career Cork City Born in Cambridge, Murray initially signed for Cork City on loan in 2002, under former manager Liam Murphy, from Peterborough United. One year later, he signed permanently for Cork. During his time on Leeside, he scored vital goals in European competition against Malmö FF in the UEFA Intertoto Cup (2004), Apollon Limassol in the UEFA Champions League qualifier in 2006 and FC Haka in the UEFA Cup in 2008. He is Cork's highest scorer in European competition. He was booked twice in their run during the 2006 UEFA Champions League qualifiers, once for an imitation of an Apollon Limassol player diving, and secondly during Cork's home game against Crvena Zvezda, when over-eagerly recovering a ball from an opposition player for a throw-in. Brian O'Callaghan (born 24 February 1981 in Limerick, Ireland) is a professional footballer, plays for his home town club Limerick in the League of Ireland Premier Division. He began his career at Barnsley, where he scored once against Mansfield. After leaving Barnsley, O'Callaghan joined Notts County for whom he scored once against Wycombe Wanderers. 2007 FAI Cup
The FAI Cup 2007 was the 87th staging of The Football Association of Ireland Challenge Cup or FAI Cup. It was the first FAI Cup to be sponsored by Ford. The 2007 FAI Ford Cup officially kicked off in late April, when twenty clubs from the junior and intermediate leagues battled it out for the chance to face eircom League of Ireland opposition in the second round. The ten winners of those ties were joined in the second round by the 22 eircom League of Ireland clubs. The competition ran until early December, with the final taking place on 2 December 2007. FAI Cup
The Football Association of Ireland Senior Challenge Cup (FAI Cup), known as the Extra.ie FAI Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a knock-out association football competition contested annually by teams from the Republic of Ireland (as well as Derry City from Northern Ireland). Organised by the FAI ( Football Association of Ireland), the competition is currently sponsored by '' Extra.ie''. It was known as the Free State Cup from 1923 to 1936. 2005 League Of Ireland
The 2005 League of Ireland Premier Division was the 21st season of the League of Ireland Premier Division. The division was made up of 12 teams. Cork City F.C., Cork City were champions while Derry City F.C., Derry City finished as runners-up. This was the first time the title had been won by a club from outside County Dublin since 1996–97 League of Ireland Premier Division, 1996–97. The Setanta Sports Cup was a club football competition featuring teams from both football associations on the island of Ireland. Inaugurated in 2005, it was a cross-border competition between clubs in the League of Ireland from the Republic of Ireland and the NIFL Premiership from Northern Ireland. George O'Callaghan
George Paul O'Callaghan (born 5 September 1979) is an Irish former football player and manager. O'Callaghan started his career with Port Vale in 1995, he made 41 appearances for the club before joining Cork City in 2002. He spent five years at his home town club, making 150 league appearances. This was followed by a return to English football with Ipswich Town, before a brief return to Cork in 2008. In the summer of 2008 he signed with Tranmere Rovers, before brief spells with Dundalk and Yeovil Town in 2009. He then returned to his homeland for short stays at Waterford United and former club Cork City. Roddy Collins
Roderick Collins (born 7 August 1962), is an Irish former professional football player and manager. During a playing career of 18 years, Collins played for many sides across England, Ireland and Northern Ireland. While towards the end of his career he became a joint-manager and player, Collins eventually turned his hand entirely to management. He managed Bohemians, the side he started his career at and played for during four spells throughout his career, before moving to England to manage Carlisle. After several successful spells in Ireland and one in Malta, Collins is currently unemployed. Playing career Collins was born in Dublin. He made his competitive debut for Bohemians in a FAI League Cup tie against St Patrick's Athletic on 26 August 1979, which they lost on penalties.
