Dan Hindmarsh
Daniel Hindmarsh-Takyi (born 8 October 1998), also known as Dan Hindmarsh, is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a or for the Castleford Tigers in the Super League. He has previously played for the London Broncos in both the Championship and the Super League, and for Northern Pride in the Queensland Cup. He has spent time on loan and dual registration at Oxford RL, the London Skolars, the Coventry Bears and Newcastle Thunder in League 1, and at the Sheffield Eagles and Whitehaven in the Championship. Impact Of The COVID-19 Pandemic On Rugby League
The COVID-19 pandemic had a major impact on the sport of rugby league in both the northern and southern hemispheres with the two major league competitions suspended for periods and numerous other leagues and cup competitions cancelled or abandoned. Australia and New Zealand NRL The World Health Organization declared the global pandemic on 11 March, the day before the 2020 NRL season was scheduled to start. The first round of games went ahead as scheduled but the pandemic restrictions already had an effect as attendances were lower than anticipated. Between rounds 1 and 2 the New Zealand Government introduced quarantine restrictions which would have meant the New Zealand Warriors having to go into a 14-day quarantine period had they returned home after their round 1 match. The York Knights are the men's professional rugby league team of York RLFC (known as the York City Knights from 2002 to 2022) based in York, England. The Knights played their home games at Huntington Stadium before moving to Bootham Crescent. 2020 London Broncos Season
The 2020 London Broncos season was the 41st season in the clubs history and the first season out of the Super League after relegation in Super League XXIV. Coached by Danny Ward, the London Broncos competed in the Betfred Championship and the 2020 Challenge Cup. It was their fifth season at the Trailfinders Sports Ground in West Ealing, London. RFL Dual Registration
Dual registration within the RFL refers to an arrangement between clubs whereby a rugby league player within the Rugby Football League continues to be registered to his current club and is also registered to play for a club in a lower league. The system is mostly aimed at young Super League players who are thought to be not quite ready to make the step up to first team duties but for whom first team match experience is likely to be beneficial for their development. This also has been extended to Championship teams dual registering with League 1 clubs. Clubs in both the Super League and the Championships benefit from the new dual registration system which was introduced for the 2013 season.
