Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. Bennett Troy Jackson, Jr. (born September 16, 1991) is an American football safety who is a free agent. He was drafted by the New York Giants in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Notre Dame. High school Jackson grew up in Hazlet, New Jersey, where he attended Raritan High School.
