Dan Fishbach
Dan Fishbach is an American theater director and producer. He was the Executive Director of The Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles from 2006 to 2008. Career Fishbach holds a degree from Kenyon College in Ohio and attended the National Theater Institute in Connecticut. He was formerly the head of Performing Arts at Los Angeles' Harvard-Westlake School. During Fishbach's tenure at The Groundlings, the improv company inked a New Media deal with Sony for short digital sketches. Fishbach's directing credits include ''One Night Stand: An Improvised Musical,'' produced by Marc E. Platt, Executive Producer of Wicked (musical). The show premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2007. Brackets
A bracket is either of two tall fore- or back-facing punctuation marks commonly used to isolate a segment of text or data from its surroundings. ''The Glass Menagerie'' is a memory play by Tennessee Williams that premiered in 1944 and catapulted Williams from obscurity to fame. The play has strong autobiographical elements, featuring characters based on its author, his Histrionic personality disorder, histrionic mother, and his mentally fragile sister. In writing the play, Williams drew on an earlier short story, as well as a screenplay he had written under the title of ''The Gentleman Caller''. The play premiered in Chicago in 1944. After a shaky start, it was championed by Chicago critics Ashton Stevens and Claudia Cassidy, whose enthusiasm helped build audiences so the producers could move the play to Broadway where it won the New York Drama Critics' Circle, New York Drama Critics' Circle Award in 1945. ''Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris'' is a musical revue of the songs of Jacques Brel. Brel's songs were translated into English by Eric Blau and Mort Shuman, who also provided the story. The original 1968 Off-Broadway production ran for four years and spawned international and regional productions, as well as a West End production and Off-Broadway revival, among others. A film adaptation was released in 1975. In 2003, David Bowie included the cast recording in a list of 25 of his favourite albums, "Confessions of a Vinyl Junkie".
