Dan Broadhead
Dan McKay Broadhead (16 November 1891 – 1978) was a Scottish amateur footballer who played as a wing half in the Scottish League for Queen's Park. Personal life As of 1911, Broadhead was a student teacher. He served as a private in the Highland Light Infantry during the First World War. Peebles ( gd, Na Pùballan) is a town in the Scottish Borders, Scotland. It was historically a royal burgh and the county town of Peeblesshire. According to the 2011 census, the population was 8,376 and the estimated population in June 2018 was 9,000. History Initially, a market town, Peebles played a role in the woollen industry of the Borders during the 19th and early-20th centuries. Most mills closed by the 1960s, although the last one remained open until 2015. The character of Peebles has changed; the town serves as home to many people who commute to work in Edinburgh, as well as being a popular tourist destination, especially in the summer. The Scottish Football League First Division was the second tier in the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The First Division was introduced in 1975–76 to replace the old Scottish Football League Division Two, as the top flight of the Scottish Football League was renamed from Division One to Premier Division. In 1998, the Premier Division clubs broke away from the Scottish Football League to form the Scottish Premier League.
