Dan Bazuin
Daniel Bazuin (born July 22, 1983) is a former American football defensive end. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the second round the 2007 NFL Draft. He was drafted out of Central Michigan. While at Central Michigan University, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing. College career Bazuin played from 2003 to 2006 for Central Michigan. At the time he left Central Michigan, he was the team's career leader in sacks and tackles for loss. He was selected as the MAC Conference Defensive player of the year for the 2006 season. Professional career Chicago Bears The Bears signed Bazuin to a four-year contract on July 25, 2007. Bazuin was placed on injured reserve on September 1, 2007, by the Chicago Bears due to a knee injury. On August 29, 2008, Bazuin was waived by the Bears after requiring a second operation on the same knee. Defensive End
Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man line defense, seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an "end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. When most teams adopted a five-man line, two different styles of end play developed: "crashing" ends, who rushed into the backfield to disrupt plays, and "stand-up" or "waiting" ends, who played the more traditional containment style. Practice Squad
In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB). Central Michigan Chippewas
The Central Michigan Chippewas are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Central Michigan University (CMU), located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The school fields sixteen men's and women's intercollegiate teams that compete at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level. CMU was a member of the Illinois Intercollegiate Athletic Conference from 1950 to 1970. The school's athletics programs are affiliated with the NCAA and compete in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). McBain, Michigan
McBain is a city in Missaukee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 656 at the 2010 census, making McBain the eighth-smallest city in the state of Michigan by population. History McBain began as a settlement around a sawmill in Riverside Township, founded by John McBain in 1887.
