Damla Demirdön
Damla Demirdön (born 6 September 1990) is a Turkish women's football midfielder currently playing in the Turkish Women's First Football League for Ataşehir Belediyespor in Istanbul with jersey number 17. She is member of the Turkey women's national team since 2007. Career Club Demirdön obtained her license for Gazi Üniversitesispor on 19 January 2005. She played for the team in her hometown until the end of 2009–10 season. She won two league championship titles with Gazi Üniversitesispor in the 2007–08 and 2009–10 seasons. She capped in total 69 times. Currently, she plays for the Istanbul-based Ataşehir Belediyespor, where she joined in the 2010–11 season. With Ataşehir, she became twice more league champion in the 2010–11 and 2011–12 seasons. Ataşehir Belediyespor is a Turkish sports club based in the Ataşehir district of Istanbul. It is known for its women's football team that won the Turkish League championship in 2011, the fourth year of its existence. They defended their title successfully in 2012. History The women's team was founded as a high school team, Ümraniye Mevlana Lisesi SK, in 2007. The team was promoted at the end of their first season in the Women's Regional League to the Women's Second League. The next season, they were able to ascend to the Women's First League. The girls became champion in the Junior Women's League also the same year. Representing Turkey at the World Intercollegiate Football Championship held in Antalya, the high school team placed seventh. UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship
The UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship or simply UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship, is a competition in women's football for European national teams of players under 19 years of age. National under-19 teams whose countries belong to the European governing body UEFA can register to enter the competition. In odd years the tournament is also a FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup qualifying competition. The tournament began in the 1997–98 season as an under-18 event and became an under-19s event from the 2001–02 season, it is held yearly.
