Damien Brown (soccer)
Damien Brown (born 12 January 1975) is an Australian retired professional footballer. Born in Gosford, Brown played youth football with The Entrance and Central Coast, before making his senior debut for The Entrance in 1992. He later spent several seasons in the National Soccer League before joining hometown side Central Coast Mariners for the first three seasons of the A-League. Early life Brown was born in Gosford, on the Central Coast of New South Wales. He attended St Edward's College, East Gosford until 1990. From 1991 to 1992, he attended St Peter's Catholic College, Tuggerah. Gosford
Gosford is the city and administrative centre of the Central Coast Council local government area in the heart of the Central Coast region, about north of Sydney and about south of Newcastle. Higher School Certificate (New South Wales)
The Higher School Certificate (HSC) is the credential awarded to secondary school students who successfully complete senior high school level studies (Years 11 and 12 or equivalent) in New South Wales and some ACT schools in Australia, as well as some international schools in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Papua New Guinea and Tonga. It was first introduced in 1967, with the last major revision coming into effect in 2019. It is currently developed and managed by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). Wayne O'Sullivan
Wayne St John O'Sullivan (born 25 February 1974) is an Irish retired professional footballer. Since retiring as a player he has worked as a coach. Born in Cyprus, O'Sullivan played youth football for Swindon Town before making his professional debut with the club. In 2001, he moved to Australia, where he played in the National Soccer League and A-League, as well as one season in Singapore. O'Sullivan represented Republic of Ireland at youth level. The World Game
''The World Game'' was an Australian football (soccer) television show broadcast on the SBS network, as well as a dedicated associated website. The show debuted in 2001 and was the only Australian TV programme dedicated to both football news and issues within Australia as well as around the world. 2007–08 Central Coast Mariners FC Season
The 2007–08 season was the 3rd season of competitive football played by Central Coast Mariners. The Mariners ended the season as A-League Premiers after topping the table in the regular season, but runners-up in the Championship after losing to local rivals Newcastle Jets in the 2008 A-League Grand Final. In the transfer window the club signed experienced striker Sasho Petrovski and former Adelaide United FC, Adelaide United midfielder Greg Owens. Left back Dean Heffernan also returned to the club after completing a loan spell with 1. FC Nürnberg. Club captain Noel Spencer was released, joining Sydney FC. Newcastle United Jets Football Club, commonly known as Newcastle Jets, is an Australian professional soccer club based in Newcastle, New South Wales.
