Cesare Damiano (born 15 June 1948 in Cuneo) is an Italian politician, member of the Democratic Party. A former leading member of the CGIL trade union, Damiano has been a part of the Democrats of the Left national secretaryship since 2001. He is a former Minister of Labour. Biography In 1970 Cesare Damiano enrolled in the FIOM- CGIL of which he was corporate representative, responsible for the work among the employees and officer (from 1974); in 1976 he entered the secretariat of the Fiom-CGIL of Turin and from 1980 to 1989 he was general secretary of the same syndicate in Piedmont. At the beginning of 1991 he became secretary general of the Chamber of Labor of Turin; in November of the same year he was appointed deputy general secretary of the FIOM and occupied this post until 1996. Early in his youth career, he played for , but he would then join the youth academy of Nice. He played for the B team of the club in the early 1970s. Managerial career Damiano stopped playing football in 1974, at the age of 24. From 1974 to 1983, he was simultaneously head of the youth academy and assistant manager of the first team of Nice. From 1983 to 1986, he would then coach Stade Raphaëlois. He would also have various roles at the French Football Federation in this time period. Diane Louise Damiano is an American biomedical scientist and physical therapist specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation approaches in children with cerebral palsy. She is chief of the functional and applied biomechanics section at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center. Damiano has served as president of the Clinical Gait and Movement Analysis Society and the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine. Education Damiano completed a B.A. in biological sciences at the Catholic University of America in 1974. In 1979, she earned a M.S. in physical therapy from Duke University. Born in Rome, Lo Cascio started his career as the assistant director of Fernando Di Leo in almost all the films he directed between 1967 and 1974. Pedro Damiano ( pt, Pedro Damião; ''Damiano'' is the Italian form, much like the Latin ''Damianus''; 1480–1544) was a Portuguese chess player. A native of Odemira, he was a pharmacist by profession.
