Rudolph "Chip" Damiani (June 16, 1945 – February 23, 2014) was a founding member and drummer for the mid-1960s garage rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, the Remains. Early years Damiani was born in Waterbury to Rudolph, a surgeon at Waterbury Hospital, and Jeanette Long Damiani. He was raised in Wolcott, Connecticut. He was married to the late Maria Brancati Damiani and was the father of Robbin, Christopher (1977 - 2020), and Michael. Career Damiani, together with his fellow students at Boston University, singer/guitarist Barry Tashian, keyboardist Bill Briggs, and bassist Vern Miller, formed the band the Remains, in 1964. Damiano Damiani (23 July 1922 – 7 March 2013) was an Italian screenwriter, film director, actor and writer. Poet and director Pier Paolo Pasolini referred to him as "a bitter moralist hungry for old purity", while film critic Paolo Mereghetti said that his style made him "the most American of Italian directors". Francesco Damiani (born 4 October 1958) is an Italian former professional boxer who competed from 1985 to 1993. He was the first WBO heavyweight champion, having held the title from 1989 to 1991, as well as the European heavyweight title from 1987 to 1989.
