Dalum is an unincorporated community in Alberta, Canada. It is situated 15 kilometres south of Drumheller at the intersection of Alberta Highway 569, Highway 569 and Alberta Highway 56, Highway 56, at an elevation of . It was established by a Danish group called the Dansk Folkesamfund. The settlement is located in census division Division No. 5, Alberta, No. 5 and in the federal riding of Crowfoot (electoral district), Crowfoot. It is administered by Wheatland County, Alberta, Wheatland County. The community is home to the ''Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Dalum''. The Drumheller/Ostergard's Airport is located immediately south-east of the community. History "Dansk Folkesamfund" was started in 1887 by Pastor F.L. Grundtvig, who at the time was the pastor of the Danish Lutheran Church in Clinton, Iowa. He was the son of the late Bishop N.F.S. Drumheller
Drumheller is a town on the Red Deer River in the badlands of Central Alberta, east-central Alberta, Canada. It is northeast of Calgary and south of Stettler, Alberta, Stettler. The Drumheller portion of the Red Deer River valley, often referred to as Dinosaur Valley, has an approximate width of and an approximate length of . Drumheller was named after Samuel Drumheller, who, after purchasing the homestead of Thomas Patrick Greentree, had it surveyed into the original Drumheller townsite and put lots on the market in 1911. Also in 1911, Samuel Drumheller started coal mining operations near the townsite. Drumheller got a railway station in 1912. It was then incorporated as a village on May 15, 1913, a town on March 2, 1916 and a city on April 3, 1930. Crowfoot (electoral District)
Crowfoot was a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1968 to 2015. It was located in the central part of the province, and is named in honour of Chief Crowfoot, leader of the Blackfoot First Nations in the 19th century. Even by the standards of rural Alberta, Crowfoot was a strongly conservative riding. The major right-wing party of the day-- Progressive Conservative (1968-1993), Reform (1993-2000), Canadian Alliance (2000-2003) and Conservative (after 2003)-- won every election in this riding, usually by some of the largest recorded margins in Canadian politics.
