Dallas Thomas
Dallas Treymell Thomas (born October 30, 1989) is a former American football guard. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, for whom he played until October 2016. He played college football at Tennessee. Early years Thomas was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. While attending Scotlandville Magnet High School in Baton Rouge, he played high school football for the Scotlandville Hornets. College career Thomas attended the University of Tennessee, where he played for the Tennessee Volunteers football team from 2008 to 2012. During his college career, he started 37 of 50 games in which he appeared at offensive tackle and guard. As a senior in 2012, he received third-team All-American honors from CBSSports.com, and was a second-team All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) selection. In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for Blocking (American football), blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. Guards are to the right or left of the center. The guard's job is to protect the quarterback from the incoming defensive line, linemen during pass plays, as well as creating openings (holes) for the running backs to head through. William Mason Turner (born October 17, 1991) is an American football offensive tackle for the National Football League (NFL) who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at North Dakota State. 2020 XFL Draft
The 2020 XFL Draft was the inaugural player selection process to fill the rosters of the eight teams of the 2020 reboot of the XFL. The draft was held on October 15–16, 2019, via conference call, with results released through the XFL's social media channels. Structure The XFL player allocation process was held in multiple phases, separated by position groups. The league used a "snake" format in each phase, in which the draft order reversed with each round. The draft order was shuffled for each phase as predetermined through lotteries. A draft pool of 1,000 eligible players was announced in 200-player installments the week before the draft. The Alliance of American Football (AAF) was a professional American football minor league. The AAF consisted of eight centrally owned and operated teams in the southern and western United States, seven of which were located in metropolitan areas with at least one major professional sports franchise. Founded by Charlie Ebersol and Bill Polian in 2018, the AAF began play on February 9, 2019. The league was scheduled to have a 10-week regular season and conclude with a championship game on April 27.
