Dallas Et Kate
''Dallas et Kate'' is a collaborative studio album by Dallas Cosmas and Kate Ceberano. The album was released in May 2009. Ceberano said; "It was such a fun and organic experience making some truly aesthetic art." Additional musicians on the album are Paul Richards, Matthew Shadwick, Clinton Rankin and Bindy Cohen. Background In late 2006, Ceberano and Cosmas commenced recording original songs at Ceberano's house. The album was not completed as Ceberano was invited to compete on '' Dancing with the Stars''. In September 2008, Ceberano discussed the recording on her website saying the album "...is a collection of moody originals, very special pieces, all carefully arranged and produced by Dallas. All songs co-written by the two of us and I even got to play drums on a couple of tracks", adding she was "sad to have to let the project go by the wayside". Catherine Yvette Ceberano ( or , born 17 November 1966) is an Australian singer and actress who performs in the soul, jazz, and pop genres, as well as in film and musicals such as '' Jesus Christ Superstar''. Her song " Pash" received a gold sales certification in 1998. ''Bittersweet'' is an album of jazz standards by American musician Mark Isham and Australian vocalist Kate Ceberano. It is Ceberano's first jazz album in twenty years. The album received a nomination for Best Jazz Album at the 2009 ARIA Awards. Isham and Ceberano performed at the Sundance Film Festival in 2003 and wanted to record an album together. In early 2009, Ceberano flew to Isham's estate outside Los Angeles and recorded the album in his home studio. The pair recorded the album live without overdubs in just three days. ''It Takes Two'' was an Australian music talent show, which ran for three seasons from May 2006 to April 2008. It was based on the original UK programme ''Just the Two of Us''. Concept The show paired celebrities with professional singers who each week competed against each other in a sing-off to impress a panel of judges and ultimately the viewing public in order to survive potential elimination. Through both telephone and SMS voting, viewers voted for the duo they thought should remain in the competition. Judges' scores were also taken into account and were combined with the viewer votes when determining which duos stayed and went each week. In all cases, the home viewers always had the final say.
