Dallas Derby Devils
The Dallas Derby Devils (DDD) is a flat track roller derby league in Dallas, Texas and surrounding area of Ft. Worth, Texas. Founded in November 2004, the Dallas Derby Devils is the original North Texas roller derby league with a current roster of over one hundred active skaters, making DDD one of the largest flat track derby leagues in the southern United States. The Dallas Derby Devils are an original member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). The Dallas Derby Devils have completed sell-out home seasons since 2006 featuring the five home teams that comprise the league; The Death Row Rumblers, The High Seas Hotties, The Slaughterers, The Suicide Shifters, and The Wrecking Crew. Skaters of these five teams make up an All-Star Travel Team for the Dallas Derby Devils called the Army of Darkness, that compete in interleague play against other WFTDA member leagues. West Region (WFTDA)
The Women's Flat Track Derby Association's (WFTDA) West Region was formed in 2006. In 2009, teams from the eastern part of the region were moved into the North Central and South Central Regions. From 2008, the WFTDA changed from having just two regional tournaments (East and West), to five, made up of teams from four regions: East, North Central, South Central and West. For 2011, the region was reduced in size, with teams in New Mexico moving to the South Central Region. Alamo City Rollergirls
Alamo City Rollergirls or ACRG, is a women's flat-track roller derby league based in San Antonio, Texas. Founded in 2005, the league played their fourth season in 2010. The ACRG are a founding member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). Teams Alamo City currently has 4 home teams in the league, the Bradley Bombshells, Las Luchadoras, Mustang Sallies, and Las Estrellas. Alamo City operates a training program called "Asphalt Assault", an eight-week program that gets neophyte skaters up to speed. Duke City Derby
Duke City Roller Derby (DCRD) is a women's flat-track roller derby league based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Founded in 2005, Duke City is a founding member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). History Founded in 2005, Duke City is the oldest roller derby organization in Albuquerque. Early on, the league comprised three teams based in Albuquerque, one in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Santa Fe and one in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Rio Rancho. By 2009, the league had moved its home events to the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Rio Rancho, with the hopes of drawing 1,000 fans per game.
