Dal Singh Thapa
Dal Singh Thapa ( ne, दलसिंह थापा) was a leader of the Nepali Congress. He was involved in the 1961 bombing against King Mahendra, and was sentenced to death; this sentence was later commuted to life imprisonment. His friend Durgananda Jha, who was caught with him in the bombing, was hanged. After his father and mother were killed in their home, reportedly by member of the Armed Police Force, he stayed with Subarna Shamsher Rana and got into politics. The Nepali Congress ( ne, नेपाली कांग्रेस ; abbr. NC) is the largest social democratic political party in Nepal. As per the results of recent local election, ''Nepali Congress'' stands as the single largest party of Nepal at all levels of government. It is the current ruling party of Nepal since July 2021. Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev ( ne, श्री ५ महाराजाधिराज महेन्द्र वीर विक्रम शाह देव; 11 June 1920 – 31 January 1972) was the King of Nepal from 13 March 1955 until his death in 1972. Following the 1960 Nepal coup d'état, 1960 coup d'état, he established the partyless Panchayat (Nepal), Panchayat system which governed the country for 28 years until the introduction of multiparty democracy in 1990. Durgananda Jha
Durganand Jha ( ne, दुर्गानन्द झा) was Nepalese democratic fighter who attempted to assassinate King Mahendra of Nepal in January 1962 (9 Magh 2018 Bikram Sambat, BS) in Janakpur in southeastern Nepal. Durga was captured after he threw a bomb on a motor-vehicle carrying the king. He threw bomb in a strict security of thousands of army and police at the Janaki Temple premises in Janakpur during his visit to the eastern Terai. He was executed by firing squad on 15 Magh 2020 BS (February 1964) at Central Jail (Kathmandu), Central Jail, Kathmandu. He was born at Jatahi, Janakpur. Jha was member of Nepali Congress. The Armed Police Force, Nepal is a paramilitary land force tasked with counter-insurgency operations in Nepal. It functions as a semi-military wing, and occupies a sort of dual role as both military and law enforcement. Service is voluntary and the minimum age for enlistment is 18 years. Initially founded with a roster of 15,000 police and military personnel, the Armed Police Force is projected to have a corps of 77,117 at the close of 2015. Subarna Shamsher Rana
Subarna Shamsher Rana ( ne, सुवर्ण सम्शेर राणा) (1910 – 9 November 1977) was a leading figure in the movement to overthrow the ruling Rana oligarchy and to establish democracy in Nepal. He was one of the three leaders of the Nepali Congress in the late 1940s, opposing his relatives, the Rana family, who held power in Nepal at the time. A prisoner (also known as an inmate or detainee) is a person who is deprived of liberty against their will. This can be by confinement, captivity, or forcible restraint. The term applies particularly to serving a prison sentence in a prison. English law "Prisoner" is a legal term for a person who is imprisoned. In section 1 of the Prison Security Act 1992, the word "prisoner" means any person for the time being in a prison as a result of any requirement imposed by a court or otherwise that he be detained in legal custody. "Prisoner" was a legal term for a person prosecuted for felony. It was not applicable to a person prosecuted for misdemeanour.
