Dakota (1988 Film)
''Dakota'' (also known as ''Harley'') is a 1988 American drama film starring Lou Diamond Phillips and directed by Fred Holmes. The film was reedited and rereleased under a different title in 1991, ''Harley''. Plot Dakota (Lou Diamond Phillips) is a troubled teenager on the run who takes a job at a Texas ranch to work off his debts. While Dakota restores an antique car, he becomes a pseudo big brother for the rancher's young son, Casey, who lost his leg to cancer. Dakota also begins to fall for the rancher's daughter, Molly. Lou Diamond Phillips
Louis Diamond Phillips ( born Upchurch; February 17, 1962) is a Filipino-American actor and film director. His breakthrough came when he starred as Ritchie Valens in the biographical drama film '' La Bamba'' (1987). For ''Stand and Deliver'' (1988), Phillips was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and won an Independent Spirit Award. Phillips made his Broadway debut with the 1996 revival of ''The King and I'', earning a Tony Award nomination for his portrayal of King Mongkut of Siam. Benjamin Lewis Jones (born August 30, 1941) is an American actor, politician, playwright, and essayist, best known for his role as Cooter Davenport in ''The Dukes of Hazzard''. Jones also served for four years in the United States House of Representatives from January 3, 1989, to January 3, 1993. Early life and career Jones was born in Edgecombe County, North Carolina, near McNair's Railroad Crossing, on August 30, 1941. His father was Hubert C.
