Daizen Shishido
(real name Shishido Kunihiro) is a Japanese stunt double. He has appeared in many television shows, including regular appearances on long-running series such as ''Mito Kōmon, Ōoka Echizen,'' the '' Hissatsu'' series and ''Abarenbo Shogun.'' He was also the stunt double for Raizo Ichikawa in all eight "Shinobi no Mono" films from 1963-67. After graduating from Nippon Sport Science University, he went to work for Daiei, then Toei, before become a free-lancer in 1970. In filmmaking, a double is a person who substitutes FOR another actor such that the person's face is not shown. There are various terms associated with a double based on the specific body part or ability they serve as a double for, such as stunt double, "dance double", "butt double" and "hand double". Tokugawa Mitsukuni
, also known as , was a Japanese daimyo who was known for his influence in the politics of the early Edo period. He was the third son of Tokugawa Yorifusa (who in turn was the eleventh son of Tokugawa Ieyasu) and succeeded him, becoming the second daimyo of the Mito Domain. Biography Tokugawa Mitsukuni was born on July 11, 1628, in Mito Domain, Hitachi Province as the third son of Tokugawa Yorifusa, the first daimyo of Mito Domain. His father was the eleventh son of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder and first shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate. At the age of six, his elder brother Yorishige became valetudinarian, and Mitsukuni was chosen to succeed his father. At the age of nine, he underwent ''genpuku'' (coming-of-age ceremony). Ōoka Echizen
is a prime-time television ''jidaigeki'' in Japan. From March 16, 1970 to March 15, 1999, 402 episodes and 15 seasons were broadcast. Also, a two-hour special aired on March 20, 2006, commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the '' National Gekijō'', which occupies the Monday evening 8:00–8:54 pm time slot on the TBS network, sponsored by Matsushita. It alternated, seasonally, with '' Mito Kōmon'' and ''Edo o Kiru''. The title character is Ōoka Tadasuke, a historical person who was a magistrate in the city of Edo (the forerunner of modern Tokyo) during the time of Tokugawa Yoshimune in the eighteenth century. Abarenbo Shogun
(Abarenbō Shōgun) was a Japanese television program on the TV Asahi network. Set in the eighteenth century, it showed fictitious events in the life of Yoshimune, the eighth Tokugawa ''shōgun''. The program started in 1978 under the title ''Yoshimune Hyobanki: Abarenbo Shogun'' (''Chronicle in Praise of Yoshimune: The Unfettered Shogun'') who went after rogue councillors and ''daimyō'' who were abusing their power. After a few seasons, they shortened the first two words and the show ran for two decades under the shorter title until the series ended in 2003; a two-hour special aired in 2004. The earliest scripts occasionally wove stories around historic events such as the establishment of firefighting companies of commoners in Edo, but eventually the series adopted a routine of strictly fiction.
