Daire Connery
Daire Connery (born 2000) is an Irish hurler who plays for Premier Senior Championship club Na Piarsaigh and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a left wing-forward. Playing career Na Piarsaigh Son of Christy Connery and Susan Connery (Formerly Aher), a stalwart of the Na Piarsaigh club on the northside of Cork city, Connery first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the same club. He was a member of the half-back line when the club's minor team defeated Killeagh-St. Ita's by 5-09 to 0-10 to win the Cork Premier 1 MHC title in 2016. On 29 April 2018, Connery made his debut with the Na Piarsaigh senior team in a 2-15 to 0-15 defeat by Bandon in the 2018 Cork County Championship. Aidan Walsh (born 23 January 1990) is an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer who plays for Cork Championship club Kanturk and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a full-forward. Playing career Cork Institute of Technology In 2011, he helped the Cork Institute of Technology hurling team to their first county final where they played Carrigtwohill. Despite being favourites for the game Carrigtwohill ran out 0–15 to 1–11 winners. Then the GAA barred Walsh, as well as goalkeeper Michael Boyle, from playing for DCU in controversial circumstances. 2020 National Hurling League
The 2020 National Hurling League was the 89th season of the National Hurling League for county teams. Division 1 was restructured in 2020 into two groups of approximately equal strength. The league was originally scheduled to end on 29 March 2020. The public health measures introduced to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in Ireland resulted in most of the final stages being delayed to October and the Division 1 final stage being reduced from five games to one. The 2019 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship was the inaugural staging of the All-Ireland Under-20 Championship and the 56th staging overall of a hurling championship for players between the minor and senior grades. Prior to 2019 an All-Ireland Under-21 Championship was held. The championship began on 25 May 2019 and ended on 24 August 2019. Tipperary were the defending champions. 2018 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The 2018 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 88th staging of the All-Ireland minor hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. It is the primary inter-county hurling competition for boys aged between fifteen and seventeen. The championship began on 12 May 2018 and ended on 19 August 2018.
