Daily News Live (Comcast SportsNet)
Daily News Live was a live, sports-oriented, talk show that aired from 1997 to 2013 on CSN Philadelphia, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia (now NBC Sports Philadelphia). The show, which was broadcast weeknights from 5:00 to 6:00PM ET, featured host Michael Barkann who was joined by a rotating panel of writers from the Philadelphia Daily News along with athletes and sports experts from around the country for a roundtable discussion about the top sports stories from both the city and the nation. On game days, guest interviewers would also participate to discuss the night's big game. Viewers were invited to e-mail the show and suggest questions or topics to be discussed on air. Originally, viewers could call in, but that portion of the program was cut by producers. The show debuted on October 1, 1997, with Michael Barkann, Bill Conlin, Les Bowen, and Jack L. John Chaney (basketball Coach)
John Chaney (January 21, 1932 – January 29, 2021) was an American college basketball coach, best known for his success at Temple University from 1982 through 2006. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001 and the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006. Early life and playing career Chaney was born in Jacksonville, Florida, but grew up in Philadelphia. He began his career after graduating from Bethune–Cookman College and spending some time in the Eastern Professional Basketball League, first with the Sunbury Mercuries from 1955 to 1963 and Williamsport Billies from 1963 to 1966. Coaching career Chaney first became a basketball coach in 1963 at William L. Sayre Junior High School (now high school) at 58th and Walnut Street in Philadelphia. Neil Hartman
Neil Hartman is the Director for the Center for Sports Communication and Social Impact at Rowan University and CEO and Executive Producer for Talow Media Group. He was previously a longtime sports personality and was the primetime anchor for Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia since its inception in 1997. Andy Reid
Andrew Walter Reid (born March 19, 1958) is an American football coach who is the head coach for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). Reid was previously head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles from 1999 to 2012. From 2001 to 2012, he was also the Eagles' executive vice president of football operations becoming the general manager. He is the only NFL coach to win 100 games and appear in four consecutive conference championships with two different franchises. Reid began his professional coaching career with the Green Bay Packers, where he served as an offensive assistant from 1992 to 1998 and won a Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XXXI. Lincoln Financial Field is an American football stadium located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It serves as the home stadium of the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL) and the Temple Owls football team of Temple University. Citizens Bank Park
Citizens Bank Park is a baseball stadium located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the city's South Philadelphia Sports Complex. It is the home playing field of the Philadelphia Phillies, the city's Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise.
