Dagmar Boom (born 1 May 2000) is a Dutch volleyball player, who plays as a receiver/libero. She is a member of the Women's National Team. She plays for Talent Team Papendal. Venray or Venraij (; li, Venroj) is a Municipalities of the Netherlands, municipality and a city in Limburg (Netherlands), Limburg, the Netherlands. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. The receiving team must not let the ball be grounded within their court. Talent Team Papendal (TTPA) is a Dutch volleyball club based in Arnhem. It has men's and women's teams, both playing in the Eredivisie (highest league in the Netherlands). History Using the facilities of the Dutch Olympic Committee*Dutch Sports Federation ( NOC*NSF) at the National Sports Centre Papendal, the Telent Team Papendal Arnhem was created as men's and women's volleyball teams, both composed of players aged between 14 and 18 years old, who train, study and live in the National Centre. 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship
The 2018 FIVB Women's World Championship was the eighteenth edition of the event, contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was held in Japan from 29 September to 20 October 2018. The final four was held at the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama. Serbia won their first world title, defeating Italy in five sets at the final. This was the first all-European final in the Women's World Championship history and the first final since 1990 that not featured a team from the Americas. Reigning olympic champions China won the third place match, defeating Netherlands in straight sets. For the first time since the 1974 Championship in Mexico, no team from the Americas reached the final four. Tijana Bošković from Serbia was elected the MVP.
