Dagfinn Gedde-Dahl
Dagfinn Gedde-Dahl (1 March 1937 – 12 June 2016) was a Norwegian physician. He was born in Florø, a son of Tobias Müller Gedde-Dahl. He served as president of the Norwegian Medical Association from 1976 to 1979. He was a chief physician at the Diakonhjemmet Hospital from 1980 to 1992, and then head physician until 2003. Florø
is a town and the administrative centre of the municipality of Kinn, Vestland, Norway. The town was founded by royal decree in 1860 as a ladested on the island of Florelandet, located between the Botnafjorden and Solheimsfjorden. Florø is Norway's (and thus the Scandinavian Peninsula's) westernmost town. It is the most western town on the mainland in the Nordic countries. The town has a population (2018) of 9,024 and a population density of . The town encompasses the entire island of Florelandet and the western half of the island of Brandsøya. Tobias Gedde-Dahl (3 June 1903 – 23 October 1994) was a Norwegian physician ( pulmonologist ). He was Sectretary General of Nasjonalforeningen for folkehelsen from 1946 to 1972. He was decorated Knight of the Order of St. Olav in 1970. Gedde-Dahl was born in Sandsvær to parish priest Sofus Gedde-Dahl and Dagny Boye. Målfrid Grude Flekkøy
Målfrid Grude Flekkøy (née Skard) (29 November 1936 – 2 November 2013) was a Norwegian chief psychologist and civil servant. Having worked for several years in different health and educational institutions for children she was appointed as Children's Commissioner in Norway from 1981 to 1989, the first person in the world to hold such a position. She established and developed the role, and after eight years (two terms) the UN Organization for Children UNICEF engaged her to assist in spreading the institution to other countries. Målfrid Grude Flekkøy travelled extensively, participated in professional organizations and wrote books and articles on children's rights. At her death in 2013, more the 80 children's commissioners had been set up around the world. Yngvar Ustvedt (8 April 1928 – 29 January 2007) was a Norwegian writer, biographer, literary researcher, literary critic, theatre critic and radio personality. Personal life Ustvedt was born in Tromsø, as the son of medical doctor and broadcasting administrator Hans Jacob Ustvedt, and Ingrid With. He was a grandson of Nils Yngvar Ustvedt. He married Lajla Margrete Gedde-Dahl in 1954, and librarian Tordis Seippel in 1969. Career Ustvedt took his examen artium in 1946, and after studies at the University of Oslo, he became a cand.philol. in 1955.
