Eduardo "Dado" Dutra Villa-Lobos (born 29 June 1965) is a Belgian-born Brazilian musician, best known as the ex-guitarist of post-punk band Legião Urbana. Legião Urbana (Portuguese for Urban Legion) was a Brazilian rock band formed in 1982 in Brasília, Distrito Federal. The band primarily consisted of Renato Russo (vocals, bass and keyboards), Dado Villa-Lobos (guitar) and Marcelo Bonfá (drums). In its earlier days, Legião Urbana also had a full-time bassist, Renato Rocha, but he left the band due to creative divergences. Renato Russo (born Renato Manfredini, Jr., March 27, 1960 – October 11, 1996) was a Brazilian singer and songwriter. He was the lead singer of the alternative rock band Legião Urbana. A Brazilian film depicting his life and career was released in 2013, called '' Somos Tão Jovens (We Are So Young)''. Childhood Renato Manfredini Jr. was born in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro. He started his studies at an early age, at Colégio Olavo Billac. During this period he wrote an essay titled "Old house, in ruins". His father was an executive at Banco do Brasil, and the family moved to Forest Hills, Queens, New York in 1967, when he was assigned a job in the city. Heitor Villa-Lobos (March 5, 1887November 17, 1959) was a Brazilian composer, conductor, cellist, and classical guitarist described as "the single most significant creative figure in 20th-century Brazilian art music". Villa-Lobos has become the best-known South American composer of all time. A prolific composer, he wrote numerous orchestral, chamber, instrumental and vocal works, totaling over 2000 works by his death in 1959. His music was influenced by both Brazilian folk music and stylistic elements from the European classical tradition, as exemplified by his ''Bachianas Brasileiras'' (Brazilian Bachian-pieces) and his Chôros. Carlos Laufer, better known mononymously as Laufer, is a Brazilian musician, songwriter and record producer. He was born in Rio de Janeiro and studied at the PUC-RJ, where he met and befriended Fausto Fawcett. Fawcett then invited him to be a part of his band Os Robôs Efêmeros in 1986, thus beginning their prolific partnership; Laufer co-wrote most, if not all, of Fawcett's songs, the most famous of which being his 1987 hit " Kátia Flávia, a Godiva do Irajá". After Os Robôs Efêmeros was made dormant in the early 1990s, Laufer was the only original member to return to Fawcett's new project, Falange Moulin Rouge. He and Fawcett also collaborated with Fernanda Abreu, writing her 1992 song "Rio 40°". Marcelo Bonfá
Marcelo Augusto Bonfá (born January 30, 1965), also known simply as Bonfá, is a Brazilian musician. Famous for being the drummer of Brazilian rock band Legião Urbana, after its disbanding he pursued a solo career, and has released three albums. Biography Bonfá was born in the city of Itapira, in the State of São Paulo, on January 30, 1965. His father was an employee of the Banco do Brasil, and in 1977, Bonfá's family moved to Brasília. Bonfá played for the bands Blitz 64 and Dado e o Reino Animal (where he would meet future Legião Urbana member Dado Villa-Lobos) before forming Legião Urbana alongside Renato Russo in 1982. He stayed with Legião until its disestablishment in 1996. In 2000, Bonfá released his first solo album, named '' O Barco Além do Sol'' (''The Boat Beyond the Sun'').
