Dad's Weird Dream
''Dad's Weird Dream'' was the fourth studio album from British band Silver Sun The album was first released in Japan, where the band has steadily built a large fan base. Unlike its predecessor Disappear Here, the album was recorded by the whole band, though drummer Richard Sayce is only credited with backing vocals as Programmed Drums were used. The album was remixed for the UK version of the album where it was released on 4 December 2006. Silver Sun
Silver Sun are a British power pop band, who formed in 1995 in Camden, London. They released their self-titled debut album in 1997, and after two major label releases that saw moderate success, the band released two further albums independently. Their sound is a combination of harder-edged alternative rock and classic power pop, with an emphasis on multi-layered vocal harmonies. Career They were initially called Sun..! and released their first EP under that name. They were forced to alter the name soon afterwards, and chose 'Silver' after The Beatles' original name, 'The Silver Beetles', also The Beatles` song "It`s All Too Much" from "Yellow Submarine" has a line 'Set me on a silver sun, for I know that I'm free'. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Power pop (also typeset as powerpop) is a form of pop rock based on the early music of bands such as the Who, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and the Byrds. It typically incorporates melodic hooks, vocal harmonies, an energetic performance, and cheerful sounding music underpinned by a sense of yearning, longing, or despair. Nigel Godrich
Nigel Timothy Godrich (born 28 February 1971) is an English record producer, recording engineer and musician. He is known for his work with the English rock band Radiohead, having produced all their studio albums since '' OK Computer'' (1997). He has also produced several projects by the Radiohead singer, Thom Yorke. He is a member of Atoms for Peace (with Yorke) and Ultraísta. Early in his career, Godrich worked as the house engineer at RAK Studios, London, under the producer John Leckie. He met Radiohead while working at RAK on their second album, '' The Bends'' (1995), for which he received his first production credit. Radiohead hired him to produce their next album, ''OK Computer'', which was a major success and brought him attention from major artists.
