Dacia Vasile Alecsandri Galați
Dacia Vasile Alecsandri Galaţi (also Dacia VA Galaţi or DVA Galaţi) was a Romanian football club based in Galaţi, founded in 1922 and dissolved in 1950. This club advanced to the Romanian Football Championships three times and was a quarter-finalist in the Romanian Cup. History DVA Galati was founded in 1922 when two clubs, Soimii Dacia and Liceul Vasile Alecsandri, named after a Roman province and a poet, respectively merged. The club made its first appearance in the regionals in 1927 and qualified for the final round of the Romanian championship. They went on to lose to Colţea Braşov and, a year later, to Olympia Bucharest. However, in 1929, the team prevailed in the first round against Victoria Iaşi and advanced to the quarter-finals. Fotbal Club Rapid 1923, commonly known as Rapid București () or simply as Rapid, is a Romanian professional football club based in Bucharest, which competes in the Liga I. It was founded in 1923 by employees of the Grivița workshops as ''Asociația Culturală și Sportivă CFR'' ("CFR Cultural and Sports Association"). Asociația Fotbal Club Gloria Arad, also known as AFC Gloria Arad, or simply as Gloria Arad is a Romanian football club based in Arad, Arad County, currently playing in the Liga VI. The club was originally founded in 1913 by Dr. E. Veliciuiu and the colors were from the beginning yellow and blue. Galați (, , ; also known by other alternative names) is the capital city of Galați County in the historical region of Western Moldavia, in eastern Romania. Galați is a port town on the Danube River.
