Dabu County () is a county in Meizhou City, in the east of Guangdong Province, China. A center of Hakka culture, it has a population of 375,000. Dabu () is a town in Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County, Guangdong, China. As of the 2018 census it had a population of 13,873 and an area of . Agob Language
The Agöb languages are a group of Pahoturi languages spoken in eastern Morehead Rural LLG, Western Province, Papua New Guinea. The language varieties include Agöb (or Dabu), Ende, and Kawam. Languages in this group, along with the Idi language, form a dialect chain with the Idi and Agob dialects proper at the ends of the chain. Ende Ende is a language spoken primarily in the villages of Kinkin, Limol, and Malam by 600 to 1000 speakers. Ende's phoneme inventory includes 19 consonants and 7 vowels. Dapu, Chiayi
Dapu Township () is a rural township in Chiayi County, Taiwan. Part of the Siraya National Scenic Area, Dapu gets a major portion of its revenue from tourism. Among the birds that can be seen in the area is the fairy pitta. History Human activity is believed to have existed in Dapu since prehistoric times. Artifacts have been found in archaeological sites nearby. The Dutch East India Company started its colonization of Taiwan in 1624. When it established its presence in what is now Chiayi County in 1636, Dapu was a Tsou territory with no recorded Han Chinese activity. According to a 1647 census conducted by the Dutch, Kanakannavo, the tribe that resided in Dapu, contained 37 households (157 residents). Dabu-dabu is a type of spicy condiment commonly found in Manado cuisine of North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Dabu-dabu consists of diced red chili peppers, bird's eye chili, shallots, red and green tomatoes, salt, sugar, and mixed with fresh calamansi juice locally known as ''lemon cui'' or ''jeruk kesturi'', sometimes replaced by kaffir lime or lemon juice. The chili pepper and citrus gives it a fresh, sour, and spicy flavour. Dabu-dabu is sometimes described as Manadonese raw ''sambal''. It is usually used as a condiment for seafood, especially in various recipes of ''ikan bakar'' (grilled fish). It is similar to Mexican salsa.
