DaLeaka Menin
DaLeaka Menin (born 16 June 1995) is a Canadian rugby union player. She plays at Prop for Canada internationally and for Exeter Chiefs Women in the Premier 15s. Rugby career 2013–17 Menin played for the Calgary Dinos for five years, scoring 23 tries on the team. She has received numerous merits including the U-Sports Rookie of the Year award in the 2013–2014 season and the U-Sports players of the year award in 2016–2017. Menin competed for Canada at the 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup in Ireland. Menin made her debut against the New Zealand Black Ferns side in 2015 where the Canadian side lost 40–22. Menin is primarily known for playing tighthead prop but can also play loosehead prop. 2022 Menin was selected in Canada's squad for the deferred 2021 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. Vulcan, Alberta
Vulcan is a town in southern Alberta, Canada that is surrounded by Vulcan County. It is on Highway 23, midway between the cities of Calgary and Lethbridge. The population of the town was 1,917 in 2016. Now known as the "Official Star Trek Capital of Canada", Vulcan has a tourism building made to look like a landed space station, a statue of the original series ''Enterprise'', and other ''Star Trek'' themed attractions. 2023 Pacific Four Series
The 2023 Pacific Four Series was the third edition of the Pacific Four Series, an international women's rugby union tournament that served as one of the principal qualification routes for the top two tiers of WXV. The tournament was hosted by Spain, Australia and Canada. The series took place over three months. The first round saw Canada and the United States play the opening match in Madrid on 1 April 2023, followed by Australia hosting New Zealand on 29 June 2023 in Brisbane. The series concluded in Canada with all four teams competing over two weekends in early July for the title.
