DY Patil Stadium
The DY Patil Stadium, also known as DY Patil Sports Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium at D. Y. Patil campus at Nerul in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It was designed by Hafeez Contractor. It is a privately owned ground and is the home of D.Y. Patil Sports Academy. It is primarily a cricket stadium however is used for many different events from cricket and football, to music concerts and special events. The stadium was officially inaugurated on 4 March 2008 and was briefly the home ground for IPL team Mumbai Indians. It hosted three IPL matches for the Mumbai Indians and has also hosted the 2008 Indian Premier League Final and 2010 Indian Premier League Final. The IPL returned to DY Patil Stadium in 2022 where the ground will host 20 games in the group stages. It is one of four grounds beings used for all groups stage games. Mumbai City Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Mumbai, Maharashtra that competes in the Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football. The club was founded in August 2014, during the inaugural season of the Indian Super League (ISL). Mumbai City is the first club to win both the ISL title and League Winners Shield, which it did in the 2020–21 season. 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup
The 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup was the 20th edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup, the quadrennial international women's football tournament in Asia competed by the national teams in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). India was selected as the host nation by the AFC Women's Football Committee in June 2020. It was the first time that the country hosted the competition since 1979. On 28 January 2021, the AFC confirmed that the tournament would take place between 20 January and 6 February 2022, instead of the original scheduled dates of late October and early November. The DY Patil Stadium, (also known as DY Patil Sports Stadium), is a multi-purpose sports arena in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is owned by Marathi politician Dnyandeo Yashwantrao Patil . It is based in the D.Y. Patil Sports Academy in Nerul. Primarily a cricket stadium, it is, however, sometimes used for football, music concerts and other events. 2020–21 Road Safety World Series
The 2020–21 Road Safety World Series was the inaugural season, an international T20 cricket league, which featured former international cricketers and was organized by the Road Safety World Series (RSWS) organization to raise awareness about road safety. The 2020–21 edition of the series featured players from India, England, Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa, Australia and Bangladesh. 2020 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup
The 2020 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, later postponed and renamed as the 2021 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup before its cancellation, was originally going to be the 7th edition of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, the biennial international women's youth football championship contested by the under-17 national teams of the member associations of FIFA, since its inception in 2008. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in India between 2 and 21 November 2020. The Cooperage Football Ground is a football stadium located in Nariman Point, Mumbai, India. It is currently home to multiple Mumbai Football League clubs.
