Radio Stations In Davao City
Radio is the technology of signaling and communicating using radio waves. Radio waves are electromagnetic waves of frequency between 30 hertz (Hz) and 300 gigahertz (GHz). They are generated by an electronic device called a transmitter connected to an antenna which radiates the waves, and received by another antenna connected to a radio receiver. Radio is very widely used in modern technology, in radio communication, radar, radio navigation, remote control, remote sensing, and other applications. In radio communication, used in radio and television broadcasting, cell phones, two-way radios, wireless networking, and satellite communication, among numerous other uses, radio waves are used to carry information across space from a transmitter to a receiver, by modulating the radio signal (impressing an information signal on the radio wave by varying some aspect of the wave) in the transmitter. In radar, used to locate and track objects like aircraft, ships, spacecraft an ...

Kingdom Of Jesus Christ (church)
The Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC), officially the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name, Inc., is a Philippine-based non-Trinitarian Restorationist church. It was founded by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, whom KJC adherents believe to be the "Appointed Son of God". The members of the congregation refer to their community as a "''Kingdom Nation''". They claim about 2 million "Kingdom citizens" abroad and 4 million in the Philippines. History Before the establishment of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) religious group, its founder Apollo Quiboloy was said to have gone on an exile to Tamayong for five years and later at Sitio Kitbog at the foot of Mount Matutum in South Cotabato. Quiboloy says that it was revelations from God through his dreams which led him to the foundation of the KJC. In fact, Quiboloy is a former member of the United Pentecostal Church of the Philippines, a Oneness Pentecostal denomination. Apollo Quiboloy's father, José, was already a Protestant (a ...

AM Broadcasting
AM broadcasting is radio broadcasting using amplitude modulation (AM) transmissions. It was the first method developed for making audio radio transmissions, and is still used worldwide, primarily for medium wave (also known as "AM band") transmissions, but also on the longwave and shortwave radio bands. The earliest experimental AM transmissions began in the early 1900s. However, widespread AM broadcasting was not established until the 1920s, following the development of vacuum tube receivers and transmitters. AM radio remained the dominant method of broadcasting for the next 30 years, a period called the "Golden Age of Radio", until television broadcasting became widespread in the 1950s and received most of the programming previously carried by radio. Subsequently, AM radio's audiences have also greatly shrunk due to competition from FM (FM broadcasting, frequency modulation) radio, Digital audio broadcasting, Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB), satellite radio, HD Radio, HD (digi ...

Davao Region
Davao Region, formerly called Southern Mindanao ( ceb, Rehiyon sa Davao; fil, Rehiyon ng Davao), is an administrative region in the Philippines, designated as Region XI. It is situated at the southeastern portion of Mindanao and comprises five provinces: Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental and Davao Occidental. The region encloses the Davao Gulf, and its regional center is Davao City. ''Dávao'' is the Hispanicized pronunciation of ''daba-daba'', the Bagobo word for "fire". Etymology Many historians believe that the name ''Davao'' is the mixture of the three names that three different tribes, the earliest settlers in the region, had for the Davao River. The Manobos, an aboriginal tribe, referred to the Davao Rivers as ''Davohoho''. Another tribe, the Bagobos, referred to the river as ''Davohaha'', which means "fire", while another tribe, the Guiangan tribe, called the river as ''Duhwow''. History The history of the region dates back to the times ...

Many of Quiboloy's assets have been described as ill-gotten. On December 10, 2022, the US Department of Treasury and Department of State imposed sanctions on Quiboloy alongside several other individuals in connection with corruption and gross human rights abuses. Watt
The watt (symbol: W) is the unit of power or radiant flux in the International System of Units (SI), equal to 1 joule per second or 1 kg⋅m2⋅s−3. It is used to quantify the rate of energy transfer. The watt is named after James Watt (1736–1819), an 18th-century Scottish inventor, mechanical engineer, and chemist who improved the Newcomen engine with his own steam engine in 1776. Watt's invention was fundamental for the Industrial Revolution. Overview When an object's velocity is held constant at one metre per second against a constant opposing force of one newton, the rate at which work is done is one watt. : \mathrm In terms of electromagnetism, one watt is the rate at which electrical work is performed when a current of one ampere (A) flows across an electrical potential difference of one volt (V), meaning the watt is equivalent to the volt-ampere (the latter unit, however, is used for a different quantity from the real power of an electrical circuit). : ...
