DJ U-Neek
Tim Middleton (born June 15, 1969), known professionally by his stage name DJ U-Neek, is an American Los Angeles-based hip hop record producer. Signed to Ruthless Records along with Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 38th Annual Grammy Awards for his production duties on ''E. 1999 Eternal''. Beside his work with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony members and affiliates, he also produced tracks for Low B, The Godfather D, Yo-Yo, Menajahtwa, Mack 10, Angie Stone, Meyhem Lauren and Troy Ave among others. Roland Collins (born November 23, 1985), better known by the stage name Troy Ave, is an American rapper from the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. Kenyatta Blake (born November 19, 1974), known professionally as Buckshot, is an American rapper from New York, best known as a frontman of hip hop groups Black Moon and Boot Camp Clik. Digable Planets () is an American hip hop trio formed in 1987. The trio is composed of rappers Ishmael "Butterfly" Butler, Mariana "Ladybug Mecca" Vieira, and Craig "Doodlebug" Irving. The group is notable for their contributions to the subgenres of jazz rap and alternative hip hop. History Origins Butler and Irving met in Philadelphia in the late 1980s. Originally from Seattle, Butler was interning at Sleeping Bag Records in New York and would visit his grandmother in Philadelphia, where he met local native Irving, who was rapping with a group called the Dread Poets Society. "The Points" is a rap song performed by The Notorious B.I.G., Coolio, Doodlebug, Big Mike, Buckshot, Redman, Ill Al Skratch, Heltah Skeltah, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Busta Rhymes, Menace Clan and Jamal. It was released in 1995 via Mercury Records/ PolyGram as a single from '' Panther (The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)''. The all-star recording had three different versions produced, the Easy Mo Bee version appeared on the soundtrack album, while the other versions produced by DJ U-Neek and Black Sheep's Mista Lawnge appeared on the single release. ''Creepin on ah Come Up'' is the debut EP by American hip hop group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. The album was released on June 21, 1994, on Ruthless Records. In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums. History Bone Thugs-n-Harmony's first album includes the singles " Thuggish Ruggish Bone" and "Foe tha Love of $". Features on the album include vocalist Shatasha Williams and their mentor and executive producer Eazy-E. The first two lines of "Intro" are backwards. Played forward are "Heaven in art which Father our, Our Father which art in Heaven" Tracks 3, 4 and 6 have listed, "Keenu Songs" which is "U-Neek" spelled backwards. In The Source (8-97) article "Crossroads To Riches" Bone states that they changed their name to Bone Thugs-n-Harmony because they had a song called "Thugs-N-Harmony". "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" is the debut single by American hip hop group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, from their debut EP ''Creepin on ah Come Up''. It features local Cleveland singer Shatasha Williams. The song reached #20 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The song was included in the soundtrack of the video game '' True Crime: Streets of LA''; and the second half of Layzie Bone's verse was reused on the track "Family Scriptures" on the Mo Thugs Family debut album, ''Family Scriptures''.
